Some of you may have seen a few months back, I attended and posted a blog regarding a lovely little event I attended with my friend Mabel at the Origins York store in collaboration with Sweaty Betty. Well since then I've actually got to know the gorgeous products and the brand pretty well and was even lucky enough to be selected for the 'Glow Guide' programme back in October which is SO exciting.
Being a Glow Guide basically means I work as an ambassador for the brand and get to host my own events at the store as well as trying their amazing products and getting to share all that on my blog and social media. It also means I get to be the cutest billboard (on wheels) around in the city of York with my unbelievably beautiful new Pashley bicycle, (shown below) working as the best motivation I've had this year to take an alternative to driving. Also, for anyone who knows anything about the play I did early last year, Blue Stockings, I get MAJOR Tess vibes when cycling into town, which I LOVE.
So, when we had our first meeting with the Origins girls they were keen to get myself, as well as the other three Glow Guides, on with events as soon as possible and seeing as though the range of Christmas gift sets were too good to miss out on an opportunity to showcase, I managed to fit my first event in just before Panto rehearsals started, in the Stonegate store on the 7th December.
I titled it a Christmas 'Treat Yourself' Night to give the guests an incentive to treat themselves whilst treating their loved ones. As well as the wide range of gifts that were already on offer at great prices and believe me when I say they had something for everyone on your Christmas gift list as the sets covered all ages and both men and women, we also had an extra 15% off in store exclusively for the event. The Origins girls were on hand to provide a pampering with an option between a luxurious facial or a soothing hand massage, which seemed to prove a crowd favourite as it involved the gorgeous ginger products. We were also very lucky to have some warming festive mulled wine and mulled cider provided by the Botanist, from just a few doors down, which went down a storm along with some mini mince pies and chocolate bites which really got everyone in the Christmassy mood.
Now, as much as I enjoyed my first experience of hosting an Origins event in the store, I'm determined to compete with myself and make my next event even better.
So here's the news, I still have several places for my next event that I am holding this Sunday morning in the store from 10am. It's going to be a 'New Year's Resolutions Party' and will ensure you start the new year out right to make 2018 a fresh start. With three key focuses on resolutions in not only skincare but also diet and exercise too, guests will be treated to detoxing facials from the Origins girls, healthy vegan treats and juices from Filmore and Union and then given pointers and advice on 'Goal Setting' from fabulous local Health and Fitness blogger and personal trainer Jodie McGregor (@jodies_fit_formula on Instagram). Each guest will also receive a goodie bag with treats and information and also a 10% discount to use in the store on the day. It really is going to be a great morning full of goodness and some (in my case) much needed motivation for a happy and healthy 2018!
RSVP is essential so please get in touch if you'd like to attend, I can't wait to see you there!
Also stay tuned for updates on more events throughout the year and watch out for Origins posts on my blog and social media sharing with you my favourite products, I can promise there are BIG things to come!
